Roger Ver resurfaces on Twitter, backs DOGE over BTC &#8220;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.cointelegraph.com\/images\/840_aHR0cHM6Ly9zMy5jb2ludGVsZWdyYXBoLmNvbS91cGxvYWRzLzIwMjItMDQvNjM4MmI5ZTMtYzU3MC00OWQ3LWFiYWEtNzgzNDA4ZDliNzk3LmpwZw==.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-2a0745c6>Roger Ver, an early investor and ardent promoter of Bitcoin (BTC) which earned him the moniker \u201cBitcoin Jesus\u201d has resurfaced on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> after a year and backed Dogecoin (DOGE) in an interview, preferring it for payments over the world\u2019s first crypto.<\/p>\n<p>In an <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-04-28\/-bitcoin-jesus-returns-to-twitter-in-latest-endorsement-of-musk\">interview<\/a> with Bloomberg, the Bitcoin.com founder said how he was a fan of the memecoin due to its fast transaction times and low fees:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cDogecoin is significantly better, it\u2019s cheaper and more reliable [than Bitcoin]. If I had to pick three contenders for the world\u2019s dominant cryptocurrency, they would be Doge, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ver also took time in the interview to voice his support for honorary Dogecoin CEO Elon Musk\u2019s Twitter takeover.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019ll certainly make Twitter more attractive,\u201d said Ver. \u201cI am really, really grateful that Musk is out there calling out censorship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although Ver was a proponent of Bitcoin for years, he now spends his days as a Bitcoin Cash (BCH) evangelist, the altcoin which forked from Bitcoin after a dispute over the block size.<\/p>\n<p>A video posted in March to Ver\u2019s YouTube channel shows he and his entourage onboarding retail merchants and taxi drivers to use Bitcoin Cash as a preferred payment method in Saint-Martin.<\/p>\n<p>Ver says that Bitcoin Cash is the true vision of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto, and despite all his advocacy for the crypto, he claims he isn\u2019t all in on BCH:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI am definitely a cryptocurrency whale still, I\u2019ve always had a wide assorted basket in cryptocurrency.
