By night, he\u2019s a successful novelist, about to release his 10th novel \u2014 the mystery\/romance title \u201cThe 13th Hour: Chaos\u201d (Simon &amp; Schuster). His books have been published in 34 countries. And his wife of 44 years? Well, versions of her <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear in everything he writes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve killed her 4 times,\u201d he admits with a laugh. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s come back twice. The way I figure it is, \u2018No tears or fears for the writer? No tears or fears for the reader,\u2019 and her death is the worst thing I can imagine. We\u2019ve been together since we were kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When he isn\u2019t working in real estate or typing away nightly from 9:30 to midnight, Doetsch is also a guitarist in a band (the drummer is Paul Shaffer, the bandleader for David Letterman), participates in triathlons, kite surfs and skydives. What\u00a0 some people call a side hustle could be an assist to either gig,\u201d says Doetsch. \u201cAt night, you could dive into writing a book and your mind frees up. You have a bad day in real estate, you might have a great night in writing. You clear your head and come back fresh.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For people who might have always wanted to tackle that novel \u2014 or any other creative item on their wish list \u2014\u00a0he offers this simple advice: \u201cJust do it. Tonight, go home. Write for 5 minutes. Tomorrow, write for 10. And over the next 10 days, try to expand that for an hour. If you write 500 words in one day, after 180 days, you\u2019ve got something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I go kite surfing or skydiving, you have to jump. You can\u2019t stay on the plane! We\u2019re all afraid and can give a lot of excuses, but there\u2019s only one reason you need to take the first step. So many people don\u2019t try anything new after 35. Just go do it. There is no map. Go chase your dream.
