drink.<\/p>\n<p>However, there\u2019s one beverage on the menu a former employee recommended customers stay away from \u2013 once she learned how the \u201cnasty\u201d drink was made, she never indulged again.<\/p>\n<p>Former McDonald\u2019s employee Nicole Weiser shared her insider knowledge in a TikTok video that went viral on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a>, part of a\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mrgznPeovxM\">compilation<\/a>\u00a0of employee secrets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was a manager at a McDonald\u2019s,\u201d Weiser explained. \u201cI worked there for about three years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During her tenure, there were two four-gallon jugs of tea on site: a red jug for sweet tea, and a green jug for unsweetened tea.<\/p>\n<p>Until Weiser knew how the drinks were made, she would indulge in a cup of sweet tea on occasion, but that changed after her time at the chain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor every four gallons of the red jug, the sweet tea, there was a full four-pound bag of sugar emptied into it,\u201d Weiser revealed. \u201cOne pound per gallon of tea.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI stopped drinking the tea after I realized that,\u201d she confirmed. \u201cThat\u2019s nasty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Sun reached out to McDonald\u2019s and requested more nutritional and ingredient information on the menu item.<\/p>\n<p>In the comments section, viewers expressed a mix of horror at the sugar content in the drink and indifference towards the caloric and nutritional load.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKnowing something is really sweet is different than knowing exactly how much sugar is in it,\u201d one viewer wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI barely drink soda now that I can make the sweet tea I gagged,\u201d a fellow former employee added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust stick to water regardless of where you are,\u201d another viewer advised. \u201cI drink a non-water drink maybe like two times a month if that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some were incredulous that Weiser hadn\u2019t realized just how much sugar was in the drink, to begin with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCould she not taste how sweet
