<\/p>\n<p>Sl<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ing the \u201csnooze\u201d button on your alarm clock may improve your <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> standing, according to a surprising poll of sleepers. <\/p>\n<p>Nearly 24% of American adults reach for the \u201cmore sleep\u201d switch, claiming that it helps their relationships with loved ones and coworkers.<\/p>\n<p>A survey of 2,000 American adults conducted by OnePoll found interesting sleeping habits, as <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/talker.news\/2022\/04\/29\/snoozing-is-the-new-winning-according-to-americans\/\">reported in Talker.News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to that extra few minutes in bed, six in 10 claim that they\u2019re also improving their relationship with their bedmate, and 71% said they believe that sleep has a direct impact on their \u201csocial health.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Overall, 72% of respondents snooze between one and four times on any given morning, while just 16% avoid snoozing it all together. <\/p>\n<p>Many respondents also agreed they\u2019d be willing to sacrifice other comforts just to catch more Zs, such as give up eating breakfast (29%), taking a shower (29%) and brushing their teeth (27%) \u2014 hypothetically speaking, of course.<\/p>\n<p>Around three in 10 desperate voters said they would go some extreme measures for an extra hour of sleep, like give up spoons or knives forever (33%); log off from streaming services for a year (30%); wear their most uncomfortable shoes for a week (29%); eat the same food for dinner every day (28%); never go to a concert or sporting event ever again (28%) or sleep on the floor for a month (24%). <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>And Monday\u2019s aren\u2019t the hardest as fewer (28%) reported sleeping-in that day. In fact, they\u2019re more likely to hit \u201csnooze\u201d on Wednesday (40%).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot only are people willing to give up food and basic hygiene for extra sleep, they are noticing how it affects their relationships and their own well-being,\u201d said Cristina Watson, Brand Manager at Dave\u2019s Killer Bread, who partnered with OnePoll to conduct the survey. \u201cHitting \u2018snooze\u2019 doesn\u2019t make you lazy, it is a sign of self-awareness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nicole Shallow, a\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/yourbehaviourgal\/\">behavior analyst<\/a>, sleep specialist and blogger for\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yourbehaviourgal.com\/\">Your Behavior Gal<\/a>, said insufficient sleep can lead to irritability, reduced focus, impaired reaction time and stunted creativity. Physical health also takes a hit, she said, risking weight gain, a weakened immune system, hormonal dysregulation and other potential impacts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe common reasons adults have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep are usually due to high stress and poor daily habits,\u201d Shallow told The Sun. <\/p>\n<p>A cool environment is the right one for sleeping, she suggested.
