Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Overstreet did not indicate which claims in Amazon\u2019s complaint \u2013 which listed 25 potential violations by the Amazon Labor Union, according to a court filing on Friday \u2014 might have merit. <\/p>\n<p>Amazon filed its objections on April 22 and said the evidence \u201cwill demonstrate that the actions of the Region and the ALU improperly suppressed and influenced the vote,\u201d according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel said in a statement, \u201cWe want our employees to have their voices heard, and in this case, that didn\u2019t happen \u2013 fewer than a third of the employees at the site voted for the union.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" for the Amazon Labor Union, Eric Milner, said the bar to get a hearing is \u201cvery low,\u201d according to a Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>No official had vetted Amazon\u2019s alleged evidence, Milner claimed, adding \u201cWhile the ALU is disappointed in any delay by Amazon in its bargaining obligations we remain confident that all of Amazon\u2019s objections will ultimately be overruled.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The landmark vote represents the first time a labor drive was successful in Amazon\u2019s 28-year history. About 55% of Amazon\u2019s employees who voted at the Staten Island warehouse known as JFK8 supported the union.<\/p>\n<p>The outcome of a separate union vote in Bessemer, Ala., is hanging in the balance as 416 votes have been contested by Amazon and the union spearheading that campaign, the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
