LITERALLY!<br \/>\n&#8220;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\" class=\"text\">\nOh, no! <strong>Chelsea Handler<\/strong> is revealing a super scary health issue she suffered earlier this year!<\/p>\n<p>In her new <em>E! <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a><\/em> cover story, the co<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>n opened up about a hospitalization that caused her to cancel several shows of her <em>Vaccinated &amp; Horny<\/em> comedy tour in February \u2014 and the reason is more shocking than you might expect!<\/p>\n<p>According to the 47-year-old, she nearly died because of stress! For real! When she landed in the hospital, she discovered that she had developed cardiomyopathy! According to the<strong> American Heart Association<\/strong>, cardiomyopathy is a form of heart disease that affects the heart muscle and makes it hard to pump blood throughout the body. Serious stuff.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Sharon Osbourne Tearfully Reveals Ozzy Has Tested Positive For COVID-19<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Discussing how someone can develop the disease, Chelsea explained it can h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en all too quickly:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt\u2019s basically like you bruised your heart in an instant moment of too much adrenaline.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In an instant moment?! Wow!<\/p>\n<p>She was similarly shocked by that revelation, so she asked her doctor to confirm whether or not she had done all that damage in one \u201cinstant\u201d versus over a length of time. She explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAnd he says, \u2018Well, it\u2019s an instance, but you\u2019ve basically been very stressed for a long period of time and you probably did not recognize that. And I was like, \u2018Oh, s**t.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Funny enough, her doctor was just as shocked as she was by the stress-induced injury given her easy-going personality on screen. The <em>Are You There, Vodka? It\u2019s Me, Chelsea<\/em> author recalled him asking:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIsn\u2019t your whole schtick that you don\u2019t take yourself too seriously?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After Chelsea \u2014 who has seemed particularly happy since starting a relationship with old friend <strong>Jo Koy<\/strong>\u00a0agreed, he added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c\u2018Well, then you should start taking your own advice, because you\u2019re taking yourself too seriously.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That was a lesson she needed to learn, the stand-up star continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAnd I thought, \u2018God, you\u2019re right. What am I doing here? I\u2019m stressed out so much that I landed in the hospital?\u2019 I mean I\u2019m fine now. Everything\u2019s healed and I\u2019m all set. But I was like, \u2018Oh, good advice: Practice what you preach.\u2019 It was a good reminder to let everything go.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>What an intense way to realize that!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Hailey Bieber Reveals She Endured Heart Surgery<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, Chelsea is doing so much better these days! After announcing her hospitalization and postponing several dates of her comedy tour, the <em>Chelsea Lately<\/em> alum reassured fans that she was on the mend, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOK, everybody, I\u2019m safe and sound. Everything\u2019s OK. I\u2019m just gonna chill out for a couple weeks to recover.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She was also overwhelmed by the outpouring of support sent her way, concluding:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAlso I\u2019m going through all my DMs, well trying to, and thank you for all the love you guys. It\u2019s so sweet. Everyone\u2019s so sweet. Thank you for caring so much about my wellbeing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It\u2019s safe to say Chelsea is going to be taking herself WAY less seriously these days because, apparently, that\u2019s what keeps her out of the doctor\u2019s office!
