Ulta\u2019s message to customers read \u201cCome hang with Kate Spade\u201d alongside a sale for its beauty products.<\/p>\n<p>Spade <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2018\/06\/07\/medical-examiner-rules-kate-spade-death-a-suicide\/\">died by suicide<\/a> when she hanged herself in 2018. She was 55.<\/p>\n<p>The beauty behemoth apologized in a statement to The Post on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUlta Beauty recently sent an email featuring Kate Spade New York fragrance with an insensitive subject line and for this, we sincerely apologize,\u201d the rep said. \u201cMental health is a very serious, important issue in this country, and not something we would ever take lightly. We apologize to the Spade family, our Kate Spade New York brand partners and to our guests.\u00a0Thank you for understanding as we strive to do better.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>Fans were <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>alled by the reference and expressed outrage on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow disgusting to use for clickbait,\u201d wrote one, believing the message was written intentionally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI cannot believe I got this email today,\u201d one person <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tracy_vinton\/status\/1520986198705012736\">wrote<\/a> on Twitter. \u201cIs this some kind of sick joke? How insensitive and absolutely tone-deaf. Apparently nobody in marketing at Ulta remembers how Kate Spade died. Disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/loomisbilly81\/status\/1520920913847324673\">chimed in<\/a>, \u201cJust got this email \u2026 this is wrong of Ulta Beauty \u2026 Kate Spade committed suicide by hanging herself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUlta Beauty corporate probably having a MELTDOWN realizing somebody sent out a promo email with the subject line Come hang with Kate Spade \u2026 somebody\u2019s losing their job,\u201d a user <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/morggmariee\/status\/1521168386465665025\">added<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/katespade-58.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"BOSTON, MA - JUNE 25: Designer Kate Spade poses for a portrait in her new handbag store on Newbury Street in Boston on June 25, 1999. Not only did I get a metric f\u2014k ton of emails all night, but the headline was BULLS\u2014T. Ulta gives no care to the mental health community, Kate Spade or her family. Gross,\u201d a fan <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wildaloofmystic\/status\/1521136515778330632\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As May marks Mental Health Awareness month, another noted, \u201cKate Spade was amazing and an icon. Your lack of attention to detail is sad at best, negligent and hurtful at worst.
