You never know when a service is going to change things up and alienate audiences, so it\u2019s best to play the field a little bit if you can afford it.<\/p>\n<p>After cracking down on password sharing and raising their prices, Netflix has decided that the best course of action is to create a sub<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion tier with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.themarysue.com\/netflix-has-other-options-besides-inserting-ads-and-cutting-talent\/\">ad breaks<\/a>. (It\u2019s also worth mentioning that the unexpected layoff of a good chunk of Tudum\u2019s editorial staff is, uh, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vulture.com\/2022\/04\/netflix-tudum-media.html\">a bad look<\/a>). Here in this column, we bring together a handful of streaming services under one roof. A good chunk of our readership has fingers in a number of different streaming pies. Keep in mind that all dates listed below may not apply to viewers outside the US.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"May_2022_Horror_Streaming_Cheat_Sheet\"><\/span>May 2022 Horror Streaming Cheat Sheet<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>If you\u2019ve ever wanted to get into the\u00a0<strong><em>Puppet Master\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>films, my god, head on over to ARROW. The streaming service is rolling out over <em>ten\u00a0<\/em>entries in the franchise. So keep your ankles covered, and go forth into this killer doll-based series.<\/li>\n<li>If vampires and werewolves are more your speed, three of the\u00a0<em><strong>Underworld<\/strong><\/em> films are coming to HBO Max this month. Keep the bloodsucker versus furballs train chugging and queue up the <em><strong>Twilight\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>franchise, which is now available on Peacock and Tubi.<\/li>\n<li>If you are more of a zombie person, five\u00a0<strong><em>Resident Evil\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>films are headed to Hulu and Peacock. (And if you\u2019re more into torture porn, five\u00a0<em><strong>Saw\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>films are also coming to the streaming service).<\/li>\n<li>Grab your wrinkle cream and early bird specials, M. Night Shyamalan\u2019s latest chiller, 2021\u2019s <em><strong>Old<\/strong><\/em>, is coming to HBO Max on May 13th!<\/li>\n<li>Try and manifest warmer summer days by watching Quentin Dupieux\u2019s French indie horror-comedy\u00a0<strong><em>Rubber<\/em><\/strong>, which is about a homicidal telekinetic tire\u2019s reign of terror in the Californian desert. Roll on over to HBO Max where it\u2019s leaving at the end of the month!<\/li>\n<li>If you like teens with low brain cell counts and oodles of increasingly silly deaths, Netflix has you covered. It\u2019s wild to think that this is director Rob Jabbaz\u2019s feature film debut. God knows what this maniac has in store for us down the line. Despite being a movie featuring a horrifying, Mr. Burns-looking-ass bird creature, this film\u2019s real monster is Tinja\u2019s mother, a perfection-seeking mommy blogger.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As our own Rob Hunter put it in his review out of Sundance, <strong>Hanna Bergholm<\/strong>\u2018s feature debut\u00a0<em><strong>Hatching\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is an effective creature feature about how monsters beget monsters featuring incredible practical effects: \u201clike a Jim Henson creation circa his <em>Labyrinth<\/em> days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If you love icky body horror monsters and cower in fear at those cursed vlogger family YouTube channels,\u00a0<em>Hatching\u00a0<\/em>may not have the subtlest thesis, but, hear me out: it has a giant, psychically-linked, goopy bird doppelg\u00e4nger. Warren, a British director known for his racy exploitation films during the 1970s. Featuring an early example of Warren\u2019s more erotic exploits and two delightful picks from his subsequent pivot into the horror genre, these three films offer a mico introduction to one of Britain\u2019s spiciest genre directors.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Britsploitation: The Norman J. Warren Collection<\/strong>\u201d features three delightfully depraved titles that paint a ghoulishly perverse portrait of one of Britain\u2019s greatest genre exports.\u00a0In 1968\u2019s <strong><em>Her Private Hell<\/em><\/strong>, a naive Italian model named Marisa (Lucia Modugno) arrives in London only to be manipulated into posing nude for saucy magazine spreads. Billed as \u201cBritain\u2019s first narrative sex film\u201d <em>Her Private Hell\u00a0<\/em>is a very low-budget time capsule that now plays as rather twee. How times have changed!<\/p>\n<p>The two other films in the collection demonstrate Warren\u2019s strengths in the horror genre: 1976\u2019s\u00a0<em><strong>Satan\u2019s Slave<\/strong><\/em><em> and <\/em>1987\u2019s <em><strong>Bloody New Year<\/strong><\/em>. The former tells of a young girl who winds up in the thrall of a cult while the latter follows a gaggle of shipwrecked teens who take shelter in a haunted hotel decorated for New Year\u2019s Eve. Unhappy with being cucked all the time, the not-so-good doctor uses his knowledge of animal behavior to dispatch his wife\u2019s lovers.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Disturbing and perverse, even by the standards of pre-Code Hollywood (which we\u2019ll remind you were famously defined by having no standards at all), 1933\u2019s\u00a0<em><strong>Murders in the Zoo\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>was directed by the British-born filmmaker-actor <strong>A. Edward Sutherland<\/strong>. While Sutherland is best remembered for his war romances, it makes sense that a man who was married five times would make a film about a killer cuckold.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of which, besides its appeal as an especially twisted slice of 1930s horror, the big reason to check this gem out is for <strong>Lionel Atwill<\/strong>\u2018s delightfully unhinged performance as the wealthy Dr. Eric Gorman. (Readers may recognize Atwill for his\u00a0<em>other\u00a0<\/em>performance as a demented M.D. in 1932\u2019s\u00a0<em>Doctor X<\/em>). Featured in the Criterion Channel\u2019s \u201cPre-Code Paramount\u201d collection, <em>Murders in the Zoo\u00a0<\/em>exemplifies the boundary-pushing that was possible before the enforcement of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.acmi.net.au\/stories-and-ideas\/early-hollywood-and-hays-code\/\">Hollywood Production Code<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Leaving the Criterion
