The task force would submit findings and potential legislation back to the State Capitol \u2014 which involves providing a plan to expand blockchain adoption in both the private and public sectors.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-05\/4fd7c729-51bf-49ad-9bf9-f0074fb29596.jpg\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\">Record of votes from Committees on CPN and WAM. Source:\u00a0Hawaii State Legislature<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Citing the vast potential for both the use and regulation of blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> and cryptocurrency, the letter read:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis measure establishes a task force to create a master plan to explore the use and regulation of blockchain and cryptocurrency.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Once signed into law, the blockchain and cryptocurrency task force will need to submit a report of its findings and recommendations at least twenty days before convening the regular session of 2023. <\/p>\n<p>The task force will consist of 11 members \u2014 including representatives of a blockchain payments solution company, a cryptocurrency exchange and a cryptocurrency association \u2014 who shall be appointed by the governor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: <\/strong><strong><em>Brazil\u2019s Senate approves \u2018Bitcoin law\u2019 to regulate cryptocurrencies<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On April 27, Brazil\u2019s Senate passed its first crypto-related bill in a plenary session, calling for the creation of a regulatory framework. <\/p>\n<p>As Cointelegraph reported, the bill awaits approval by the Chamber of Deputies before it can be signed into law by President Jair Bolsonaro.
