subjected her to \u201ccavity searches\u201d during their relationship, a psychologist testified Tuesday \u2014 as the actress finally began presenting her side in the couple\u2019s defamation trial. <\/p>\n<p>Dr. Dawn Hughes, the first witness to be called by Heard\u2019s defense team, said the 36-year-old \u201cAquaman\u201d star suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after her marriage to Depp due to the alleged abuse she suffered at his hands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Mr. Depp was drunk or high, he threw her on the bed, ripped off her nightgown and tried to have sex with her,\u201d said Hughes, referring to alleged incidents Heard had reported to her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were times when he forced her to give him oral sex when he was angry at her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In more graphic testimony, Hughes described how Depp allegedly performed \u201ca cavity search\u201d of Heard\u2019s private with his fingers \u2014 and said the actress \u201cdisassociated\u201d herself when Depp allegedly abused her with a bottle.<\/p>\n<p>Hughes, who specializes in \u201cinterpersonal violence abuse,\u201d said the actress was particularly vulnerable after growing up in an abusive household, rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>er R. Kelly and Nxivm sex-slave cult leader Keith Raniere, testified at the Depp trial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you\u2019re in a lull and the violence isn\u2019t happening, you\u2019re back with the man you fell in love with. It creates a trauma bond,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Heard appeared to be on the verge of tears during testimony about her childhood with an abusive father, which Hughes said made her more susceptible her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The psychologist said Heard believed she could \u201cfix\u201d Depp \u2014 \u201cjust like she tried to fix her father.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe truly believed she could fix Mr. Depp and rid him of his substance abuse problems, but that did not work,\u201d Hughes said.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n<p><strong>Follow The Post\u2019s live coverage of the Johnny to the contrary have damaged his career and income.<\/p>\n<p>In other testimony Tuesday, Erin Falati, a private nurse once hired by Heard, said the actress had struggled with anxiety, bipolar disorder and substance abuse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>ized memory of there being \u2026 jealous and anxiety issues, including mistrust within the relationship,\u201d Fatalti said in a pre-recorded deposition.<\/p>\n<figure says Heard\u2019s allegations cost him lucrative bookings and his recurring role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Disney\u2019s \u201cPirates of the Caribbean\u201d movie franchise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI concluded that Mr. Depp suffered lost earnings of approximately $40 million,\u201d Michael Spindler, a forensic accountant, testified on the actor\u2019s behalf earlier on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<figure alleged drug and alcohol abuse and his \u201cworsening performance at the box office\u201d when he made the calculation.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, Judge Penney Azcarate denied a motion by Heard\u2019s lawyers to dismiss Depp\u2019s lawsuit after his side rested its case.<\/p>\n<p>The actress is now expected to take the stand in her own defense when the trial resumes on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<figure
