\n A 103-year-old Michigan grandmother got her first tattoo \u2014 after she spent months isolated at a nursing home during the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

Dorothy Pollack, who celebrated her birthday on June 16 in a nursing home in Muskegon, had a surprise request weeks after she was discharged from the facility, CNN reported.<\/p>\n

She went to get an image of a frog inked on her arm Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was pretty exciting because years ago my grandson wanted me to get [a tattoo] and I wouldn\u2019t do it,\u201d Pollack told the network. \u201cAll of a sudden, I decided I would like to have one. And if I could, a frog.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause I like frogs,\u201d she added, laughing.<\/p>\n

Tattoo artist Ray Reasoner Jr. told CNN she \u201ctook it like a champ.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t even see her wince. Maybe she had half a wince once,\u201d said Reasoner, of A.W.O.L. Custom Tattooing. \u201cShe was just so excited. It was an amazing experience. If someone over a century old tells you to do something for them, you just gotta do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pollack was his oldest client ever, he added.<\/p>\n

The centenarian\u2019s granddaughter, Teresa Zavitz-Jones, told the network that \u201cCOVID-19 had her in prison for months.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe nurse in the home said she was horribly depressed and we needed to get her out,\u201d she added. \u201cWe couldn\u2019t see her so we had no idea how she really was. She\u2019s extremely hard of hearing so phone calls were not helpful.\u201d<\/p>\n

After her tat, the spunky grandmother also crossed another item off her bucket list \u2014 riding on a motorcycle, according to the report.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
