Implants just feed into it. Culture feeds into it. <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Social media<\/a> feeds into it. Filters feed into it. Unhealed trauma feeds into it,\u201d she wrote. <\/p>\n<p>Patrick, who turned 40 in March, had her implants removed this month, after suffering medical complications she\u00a0believed were caused by the implants, she <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cc8HQGNruIJ\/\">shared in a separate Instagram post<\/a> last week. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe work is always an inside job,\u201d Patrick said. \u201cThe real question is \u2013 how can I do the emotional work to see myself as perfect, having it all, and feminine? To be clear, the transparency of the dangers of implants are an issue. I also understand that mastectomy\u2019s require options. However, all I\u2019m saying is, if we don\u2019t have an insecurity issue\u2026 any potential risk or danger go away.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In her initial post about her recent breast augmentation removal, Patrick said she got implants because she wanted to \u201chave it all.\u201d But, about three years after the surgery, Patrick said she began to notice health complications, including weight gain and hair breakage.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of 2020, Patrick said the \u201cwheels came off\u201d in terms of her health. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had cycle irregularity, gained more weight, my hair wasn\u2019t looking healthy at all and my face was a different shape (weird I know),\u201d she wrote, before listing a bunch of symptoms she said were discovered from a range of medical tests, including, hypothyroidism, heavy metal toxicity, severe leaky gut, adrenal fatigue, temperature sensitivity, face swelling, weight gain and hair loss.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Just hours after undergoing surgery to remove the implants, Patrick said she noticed a number of positive changes in her health. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithin hours after surgery this is what I noticed \u2013 my face had more color and less dark circles \u2026 my face started producing oil again,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI could take a 30% deeper breath into my chest already, and I had so much energy when I woke up.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p>Patrick never named a particular illness or mentioned a specific diagnosis, though, her wide range of symptoms that occurred over time are compatible with\u00a0breast implant illness (BII), which refers to severe health concerns that develop after undergoing reconstruction or cosmetic augmentation with breast implants,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breastcancer.org\/treatment\/surgery\/breast-reconstruction\/types\/implant-reconstruction\/illness\/breast-implant-illness\">according to breastcancer.org.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was announced Wednesday that Patrick will return to NBC\u2019s Indy 500 broadcast coverage for the fourth consecutive year on Sunday, May 29 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async defer src=\"https:\/\/platform.instagram.com\/en_US\/embeds.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
