\n New documents have been unsealed in the bitter legal battle between Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre and Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz.<\/p>\n

The trove relates, in part, to Dershowitz\u2019s effort to subpoena and depose billionaire Les Wexner for evidence in his counter suit of Giuffre.<\/p>\n

The law professor is hoping to show that Giuffre tried to extort Wexner \u2014 the former head of Victoria Secret\u2019s parent company who has ties to multi-millionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n

In a letter to Judge Loretta Preska requesting that Wexner be deposed and forced to hand over documents relating to his relationship with Epstein and Giuffre, Dershowitz\u2019s attorney said it will be \u201ckey evidence at trial.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe information sought from Wexner goes to the core of Professor Dershowitz\u2019s case,\u201d his attorney wrote in the July 23 letter that was unsealed Monday.<\/p>\n

Dershowitz is also asking that Wexner\u2019s attorney, John Zeiger, be deposed and be forced to provide documents related to Wexner\u2019s relationship with Epstein accusers.<\/p>\n

Wexner claims he has no knowledge he could share in a deposition that backs up Dershowitz\u2019s claim he was extorted by Giuffre, the documents show.<\/p>\n

In a June 19 letter to Dershowtiz\u2019s attorney, a lawyer for Wexner said he could provide no information \u201crelevant\u201d to the claim.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe Mr. Wexner has no non-privileged information relevant to a claim or defense on Mr. Dershowitz\u2019s allegations of an extortion scheme,\u201d the letter states.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs for the remaining allegations in the Lawsuit, we believe Mr. Wexner\u2019s deposition would impose an unreasonable burden on him as his testimony would not be relevant and\/or proportional to the needs of the Lawsuits and, in fact, is at best merely inadmissible extrinsic, collateral evidence,\u201d it adds.<\/p>\n

Lawyers for Guiffre wrote in a separate letter that they would like the depositions to proceed because they believe it will prove Dershowitz falsely accused her of the extortion plot.<\/p>\n

The ruling came on the one-year anniversary of Epstein\u2019s suicide awaiting trial.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
