for Twitter&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The Saudi prince who initially rejected Elon Musk\u2019s takeover bid of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> now says he welcomes the move after joining a group of billionaire investors in helping the Tesla boss secure funding for the $44 billion transaction.<\/p>\n<p>Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud tweeted to Musk on Thursday: \u201cGreat to connect with you my \u2018new\u2019 friend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe you will be an excellent leader for Twitter to propel and maximise its great potential.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Saudi royal, who is one of the richest men in the desert kingdom, said he and his company, Kingdom Holding Company, were \u201clooking forward to roll [over] our ~$1.9bn [stake] in the \u201cnew\u201d Twitter and join you on this exciting journey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last month, just days after Musk announced his offer to buy out Twitter shareholders for $54.20 per share, the prince tweeted: \u201cI don\u2019t believe that the proposed offer by @elonmusk ($54.20) comes close to the intrinsic value of @Twitter given its growth prospects.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing one of the largest &amp; long-term shareholders of Twitter, @Kingdom_KHC &amp; I reject this offer.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-wrapper twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Great to connect with you my &#8220;new&#8221; Just two questions, if I may,\u201d Musk replied to the prince. \u201cHow much of Twitter does the Kingdom own, directly &amp; indirectly? What are the Kingdom\u2019s views on journalistic freedom of speech?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The dispute now <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears to be water under the bridge. And the\u00a0brutal murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi\u00a0was\u00a0personally approved by\u00a0Saudi Arabia\u2019s Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, according to US intelligence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> reported last week that Musk secured financing for his bid by pledging to enact job cuts and other cost-cutting measures, such as slashing executive pay.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on Thursday, Musk revealed in an SEC filing that he managed to secure more than $7 billion in funding to take Twitter private.<\/p>\n<p>Among the 19 investors that committed to buying a stake in a Musk-controlled company were Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, who is willing to put down $1 billion; Sequoia, which has pledged $800 million; VyCapital ($700 million); Binance ($500 million); and Andreessen Horowitz ($400 million).<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, The Wall Street Journal reported that Musk has plans to take Twitter public once again in as little as three years after buying the company.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
