Gallant wouldn\u2019t say when Goodrow will be able to return, which isn\u2019t an encouraging sign.<\/p>\n<p>Lindgren, a top-pair defenseman, and Goodrow are important penalty-killers for the Rangers. Still, the Rangers managed to go two-for-two on the penalty kill.<\/p>\n<p>Justin Braun filled in for Lindgren next to Adam Fox and Dryden Hunt stepped in for Goodrow on the left wing of the fourth line next to Kevin Rooney and Ryan Reaves. Obviously, you\u2019re missing two top players but that\u2019s the way it is in the playoffs. They\u2019re missing a couple, too. You grind away and battle through the best you can.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Penguins were down to their third-string goalie, Louis Domingue, after Casey DeSmith left in the second overtime in Game 1 with a lower-body injury. Pittsburgh\u2019s starting netminder, Tristan Jarry, suffered a fractured foot toward the end of the regular season.<\/p>\n<p>Domingue turned aside 35 of the 40 shots he faced in just the second playoff game of his career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe made some big saves, especially when it was a one-, two-goal difference, that kept us in it,\u201d Sidney Crosby said. \u201cHe\u2019s competing in there and giving us a chance. It would\u2019ve been nice to give him some help there and tie it up and see what h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Penguins also were without defenseman Brian Dumoulin, who is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, and trade-deadline acquisition Rickard Rakell. <\/p>\n<p>After taking a big hit from Lindgren in the first period of Game 1, Rakell went to the locker room and stayed there for the remainder of the Penguins\u2019 4-3 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>le-OT win.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n<p>Chris Kreider was named as the Rangers\u2019 nominee for the 2021 King Clancy Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to \u201cthe player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
