While she may have been excited about the opportunity at first, it ended up being a horrible experience after a casting director made an in<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ropriate request.<\/p>\n<p>According to Minnie, there had been a male director and more than a dozen other men from an ad agency inside the audition room. Since a script was not given to her for the commercial, the director had instructed her to recreate the infamous scene from <em>When Harry Met Sally<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYou\u2019ve seen the movie <em>When Harry Met Sally<\/em>? You know the scene where she fakes an orgasm? OK. Eat a piece of chocolate and do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Related: Matt Damon\u2019s Ex Minnie Driver Gives Rare Insight Into \u2018Sweet\u2019 Relationship &amp; AWFUL Breakup! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <em>Good Will Hunting<\/em> star had been shocked, replying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFake an orgasm?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>To which the man responded while laughing:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYes. Unless you fancy having a real one.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>WTF?!?!<\/p>\n<p>Minnie claimed the director asked her to do it twice, once \u201cnormally\u201d and again in a \u201cbigger\u201d way, telling her that take would be used for a Dutch market. Throughout the experience, the Speechless alum remembered wanting to run out of the room to warn the other women waiting for their turn. She wrote, per <em>The Times<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI thought about all the girls waiting outside. All of us vying for an opportunity that was actually humiliation dressed up in a pick-me! outfit. I wanted to run out there and warn them. I wanted to tell them we were better than this, better than being lunchtime entertainment for a bunch of pervy execs, their perviness sanctioned by this being considered \u2018work.\u2019 But of course I didn\u2019t, because the fire was lit and it required fuel, and any fuel, however troubling, will burn just the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Nevertheless, she continued and ate the \u201crevolting\u201d chocolate while faking an orgasm just like the scene in the 1989 movie. When Minnie told the casting group she couldn\u2019t do it again, one of the ad men allegedly said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cCourse you can, love, that\u2019s the best bit about being a girl!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, the <strong>Oscar<\/strong> nominee put her foot down, firing back at the crew that she would not do it anymore because she \u201cwill throw up.\u201d As Minnie recalls, the director just \u201csneered\u201d and \u201crolled his eyes,\u201d saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWell, all the other girls have apparently very much enjoyed this.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gathering her coat, Minnie clapped back:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThey were faking it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After the horrible audition, she came home to a voice message telling her that they had said she was \u201cdifficult\u201d at the tryout:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI knew I\u2019d now been marked. Branded with a scarlet D that often comes with saying \u2018no\u2019 as an actress.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And unfortunately, this has been the reality for many other actresses (and women in <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>) in the business.
