There is a perception among Republicans that Big Tech firms effectively control the group, backed up by the fact that executives from Meta and Microsoft sit on the Chamber\u2019s board. Mike Lee\u2019s (R-UT) State Antitrust Enforcement Venue Act of 2021, which would tweak federal court rules. <\/p>\n<p>Under current law, antitrust lawsuits brought by states\u2019 attorneys <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> in federal courts across the country can be combined with similar suits and consolidated into a single court \u2014 sometimes with a judge who may be more sympathetic to tech firms \u2014 against the wishes of the attorneys general. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and progressive Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX.) and the House Freedom Caucus, which includes GOP firebrands like Reps. At the time, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) claimed the group had \u201csold out.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Garret Ventry, a former chief of staff for antitrust backer and Freedom Caucus member Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.), told The Post that the Democratic endorsements left the group with \u201czero influence.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>\u201cNo one takes them seriously \u2014 full stop,\u201d Ventry said. \u201cIt\u2019s not that they lost some of their credibility. They lost all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Conflict between the GOP and the Chamber intensified in 2021 when the Chamber lobbied heavily for President Joe Biden\u2019s bipartisan infrastructure bill, which was opposed by former President Donald Trump and other top Republicans. After the Chamber criticized the party\u2019s top brass for whipping votes against the bill, House Republican leadership banned the group from strategy calls.<\/p>\n<p>Hours after <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> of the Chamber\u2019s ban broke, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2021\/10\/05\/us-chamber-pull-support-bipartisan-infrastructure-bill\">Axios reported<\/a> that the Chamber had flip-flopped and pulled its support for the infrastructure bill \u2014 but the ban from GOP calls appears to still stand more than six months later. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/Steve_Scalise2.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Steve Scalise\" class=\"wp-image-22153726\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/Steve_Scalise2.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/Steve_Scalise2.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/Steve_Scalise2.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>A spokesperson for Rep.
