href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> and speech coinciding with the release of a higher-than-expected reading for the consumer price index.<\/p>\n<p> Around 2:15 p.m. Eastern, the president is due to make remarks at a farm in Kankakee, Ill., about \u201d Putin\u2019s price hike\u201d and the Biden administration\u2019s \u201cactions to support farmers and food processors, lower their costs and lower prices for families,\u201d the White House said in a statement. <\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Russian President Vladimir Putin\u2019s invasion of Ukraine has caused spikes in energy and food prices, and the Biden administration has emphasized that particular driver of inflation, even as elevated government spending and other factors have contributed.<\/p>\n<p>New actions announced Wednesday by the Biden administration include a push to increase the number of U.S. counties eligible for double cropping insurance, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/05\/11\/fact-sheet-president-biden-announces-new-actions-to-address-putins-price-hike-make-food-more-affordable-and-lower-costs-for-farmers\/\" class=\"icon none\">the White House said<\/a>. Double cropping refers to when farmers plant a second crop on the same land in the same year, which helps to boost production, but then some farmers can\u2019t get crop insurance.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The actions also include ramping up assistance for \u201cprecision agriculture\u201d\u00a0and doubling funding for domestic fertilizer production \u2014 to $500 million from $250 million, according to the White House.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has been\u00a0talking up his administration\u2019s moves to address inflation repeatedly, while\u00a0analysts predict defeats\u00a0for his Democratic Party in November\u2019s midterm elections if high prices persist. He continues to get blamed for\u00a0high inflation\u00a0and faces\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/president-biden-job-approval-7320.html\" class=\"icon none\">low approval ratings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, the president gave a speech on inflation in which he aimed to draw a contrast between his plans and how Republicans would address high prices.
