Now he also <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>arently believes in the boogeyman.<\/p>\n<p>Adams turned his attention from the Bronx Bombers to the Manhattan boo-ers as he broke <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> in the Yankees press box during Tuesday\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>: Gracie Mansion is haunted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t care what anyone says, there are ghosts in there, man,\u201d Hizzoner <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bobhardt\/status\/1524175947716567042\">told<\/a> Yankees announcers Michael Kay and Cameron Maybin, who invited him into the booth after the mayor tossed out the first pitch. Santorelli, who sometimes pulled 19-hour shifts feeding the mayor and guests, told The Post she never heard one story of a bump in the night during her many years there.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Adams is not the first inhabitant of the house to mention ghosts though: Former first lady Chirlane McCray said during a Halloween <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.metro.us\/new-york-citys-first-lady-talks-halloween-and-her-haunted-home\/\">interview<\/a> in 2017 that she\u2019d witnessed some unusual activities, saying \u201cthere are times when doors open and close by themselves, and the floorboards creak as though someone is walking through the rooms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At least one person is known to have died at Gracie Mansion: Elizabeth Wolcott Gracie, daughter-in-law of the merchant who constructed the house, who died from apoplexy in 1819. He consulted one of his history books and found only a brief mention of Gracie Mansion, but no specifics.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The building, one of the oldest wood structures in Manhattan, has a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> aura of spookiness to at least some visitors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe place did straight up give me the creeps,\u201d Andrew Fine, vice president of the E. 86th Street Association, an area that abuts the mansion, told The Post. \u201cIt was just really old and dated. I could see how somebody staying in that house would feel that way.\u201d He only toured the building once but said if he were mayor, he would be \u201cburning a boat ton of sage before I moved into that joint.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lance Zaal, founder of the NYC Ghosts tours, confirmed that the mayor\u2019s house is not on any list of known haunted places in the city. For a real chance at seeing ghosts, including that of Mark Twain, he recommended Hizzoner visit the famous House of Death in the West Village.
