He died at a hospital early Wednesday night. <\/p>\n<p>A review of court records by The Post revealed that Smith was free on a March 2020 gun rap at the time despite a bid by prosecutors to have him held on $50,000 bail.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a look at the case:<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"March_14_2020\"><\/span><strong>March 14, 2020<\/strong>:\u00a0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Smith is seen jumping a turnstile at the Coney Island subway station in Brooklyn. He runs from cops and suffers cuts to his legs when he jumps onto the tracks, records show.<\/p>\n<p>He is arrested and charged with possession of a loaded .32-caliber handgun. That charge is not bail-eligible under the state reforms.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Aug_19_2020\"><\/span><strong>Aug. 19, 2020<\/strong>:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Smith is finally arraigned on the indictment.
