Institutional Shareholder Services recommended that Kohl\u2019s investors elect two of the 10 board nominees suggested by Macellum.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the vote was a referendum on a sale, and people who voted for the company bought the narrative that any changes of the board in the middle of this process had ran the risk of disrupting the process,\u201d Macellum chief executive Jonathan Duskin told CNBC, adding, \u201cWe aren\u2019t going away.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A year ago Macellum, along with two partners, pushed for changes at Kohl\u2019s but decided to drop that challenge when Kohl\u2019s expanded the size of its board by three directors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we have had differences with Macellum, this Board is committed to serving the interests of all our shareholders,\u201d Kohl\u2019s Chairman Peter Boneparth said in a statement. \u201cThe board remains focused on running a robust and intentional review of strategic alternatives while executing our strategy to drive shareholder value.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
