record-keeping of attacks on transit workers and failing to provide required training to help workers deal with those incidents, The Post has learned. <\/p>\n<p>The state\u2019s Labor Department said the MTA failed to record more than 200 assaults against workers in required injury logs over the course of 2019 and 2020, according to notices of violation and an accompanying investigative narrative obtained by The Post. <\/p>\n<p>DOL also dinged MTA New York City Transit for missing required elements of the state-mandate \u201cworkplace violence prevention program\u201d and failing to provide annual workplace violence training in 2019 and 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe employer did not provide each employee with information and training on the risks of workplace violence\u2026 at least annually,\u201d according to the notice of violation dated April 1.<\/p>\n<p>The MTA was previously dinged in November 2019 for failing to \u201cestablish and implement reporting system for incidents of workplace violence,\u201d but the problem has persisted, according to the document.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe New York State Department of Labor is working with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to ensure compliance,\u201d the spokesperson said in an challenge for the MTA\u2019s frontline workforce. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/new.mta.info\/safety-and-security\/nyct-employee-assault-data\">MTA stats<\/a>\u00a0show an average of nearly two attacks per week on subway workers so far this year and many dozens more weekly cases of anti-worker harassment.<\/p>\n<p>The MTA Inspector <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> has previously called out the MTA\u2019s failure to provide state-mandated training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe MTA is committed to working with the New York State Department of Labor to ensure compliance with all State regulations related to the health and safety of employees,\u201d MTA spokesman Eugene Resnick said in a statement. \u201cWorker protection remains a top priority for the MTA and we take all valid complaints filed
