His widow, Jean Trebek, was there for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailynews.com\/2022\/05\/12\/trebek-center-homeless-shelter-opens-at-site-of-former-northridge-roller-rink\/\">Los Angeles Daily News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The beloved \u201cJeopardy!\u201d host <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2020\/11\/08\/alex-trebek-iconic-jeopardy-host-dead-at-80\/?_ga=2.45114212.172334805.1652442106-324676655.1647863819\">died in November 2020<\/a> after a battle with pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n<p>The shelter contains 107 beds and will provide help for people to find permanent housing.<\/p>\n<p>The Trebek Center also includes the Trebek library, Los Angeles Daily <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all know that homelessness is complicated,\u201d Jean said. \u201cThere is no single pathway to the streets. There\u2019s no single intervention that ends homelessness. But there is a single remedy and it\u2019s called love. And to start over,\u201d Craft said.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the mission\u2019s funding came from a $500,000 donation that the Trebek family made in 2021, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2021\/03\/24\/alex-trebek-center-donation-hope-of-the-valley-rescue-mission-homeless-shelter\/\">TMZ<\/a> reported.
