\n Hall of Famer Deion Sanders is leaving the NFL Network after a contract disagreement, The Post has learned.<\/p>\n

Sanders, 53, has expressed a desire to get into coaching and there is a feeling that is what is next for him. He made an attempt to become the head coach at his alma mater, Florida State.<\/p>\n

His son, Shedeur Sanders, a top high school quarterback prospect, has signed to play with Florida Atlantic. Another son, Shilo, is a cornerback at South Carolina. <\/p>\n

While the network confirmed Sanders\u2019 departure, sources said the two sides could not come to an agreement with NFLN looking for Sanders to take a pay cut from what is surely a seven-plus-figure salary. The amount of the cut is unknown. Sanders\u2019 contract had recently expired.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeion has been one of the key figures responsible for the growth of the NFL Network,\u201d NFL VP of communications Alex Riethmiller said in a statement. \u201cWe thank him for his work and wish him the best in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is not yet known if NFLN will replace Sanders, who along with Rich Eisen was probably the network\u2019s most prominent on-air person.<\/p>\n

Last year, as part of the NFL\u2019s overall budget as the result of its Top 100 all-time players project, the network cut $20 million, The Post reported. As part of it, Sanders\u2019 show, \u201c21 & Prime\u201d was axed. The NFL Network has not been aggressive in adding talent this offseason, which is likely partly due with the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
