We\u2019ll go over each of these below, but for now, here\u2019s a quick list of the shortcuts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shift+Command+3:<\/strong> Capture an image of your entire Mac\u2019s screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shift+Command+4:<\/strong> Capture a portion of your Mac\u2019s screen that you select.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shift+Command+4 then Space:<\/strong> Capture a window or menu.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shift+Command+5:<\/strong> Open the Screenshot app interface.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shift+Command+6:<\/strong> Take a screenshot of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/309820\/five-useful-things-you-can-do-with-the-macbook-pros-touch-bar\/\">Touch Bar on a Macbook Pro.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To capture a screenshot directly to the clipboard instead of an image file, add Ctrl to any of the shortcuts listed above. For example, press Ctrl+Shift+Command+3 to capture the entire screen to the clipboard.<\/p>\n<p>After taking a screenshot, you\u2019ll hear a camera shutter sound effect through your Mac\u2019s speaker.
