For wireless mice, replug the wireless transmitter or reconnect your mouse via Bluetooth to reset the connection. If you\u2019re currently using the latest drivers, reinstall it.<\/p>\n<p>Blow air into the sensor to clear any dust or dirt that may be blocking it, using a can of compressed air if you have one. If that didn\u2019t work, try using your mouse on another surface, such as a different mouse pad or desk. Plug your mouse into another computer to see if your computer is the problem as it may be a malware issue.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, if none of these methods worked, your mouse is likely broken, which means you\u2019ll need to get a replacement. Grab yourself a gaming mouse as they\u2019re built to last. Most mice don\u2019t work well on surfaces that aren\u2019t solid or smooth, and this includes reflective surfaces such as glass desks.<\/p>\n<p>Even if you think your mouse will work fine on a surface, it\u2019s always better to keep it on a mouse pad to protect the bottom of the mouse and the surface it\u2019s on. A broken\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/428533\/mouse-left-click-button-not-working-heres-how-to-fix-it\/\">left-click or right-click button is a massive headache waiting to happen.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, there are some ways to work around broken buttons. But first, check to see if it\u2019s a hardware or software problem by plugging your mouse into another computer. For those with wireless mice, pair them via Bluetooth or wireless transmitter. If the buttons work normally, then it\u2019s a software issue on your computer. If the buttons still don\u2019t work, it\u2019s a hardware issue.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, all mice eventually break down. This is why you\u2019ll see ratings for the number of clicks they\u2019ll survive for. For example, the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B01LXC1QL0?tag=hotoge-20\">Razer DeathAdder Elite<\/a>\u00a0has a rating of up to 50 million clicks. If you haven\u2019t reached anywhere near your mouse\u2019s click rating, you can try repairing it yourself.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ifixit.com\/\">iFixit<\/a> is a great resource that provides step-by-step solutions. Once you type the name of your mouse in the search bar, you should replacement guides for various parts of your mouse. If you can\u2019t find your mouse, try <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/help.ifixit.com\/?pk_vid=4f73626046262fba1649295889e326e2\">contacting them<\/a> for support. Alternatively, you can search online to find other solutions for your exact model.\u00a0This may seem like a lot of work, but it\u2019s a great way to save some money if you can fix it yourself. Another benefit is that you\u2019ll have a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> idea of how to fix computer mice!<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re dealing with software issues, the easiest solution is to reset your mouse back to its factory settings. You should be able to do this using configuration software that\u2019s designed for your mouse. For example, Razer recommends users to install\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/redirect.viglink.com\/?key=204a528a336ede4177fff0d84a044482&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.razer.com%2Fca-en%2Fsynapse-3\">Razer Synpase<\/a>. You can also try updating or reinstalling your mouse\u2019s drivers in Device Manager.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Freezing_or_Stopping\"><\/span>Freezing or Stopping<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One of the most frustrating problems with a mouse is when it constantly freezes or stops working altogether. This is usually caused by a faulty mouse sensor. You\u2019re trying to move your mouse when suddenly it stops in its tracks for a short period. Depending on how bad the situation is, your mouse could freeze for a few seconds every few minutes or so.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re using a wireless mouse, try leaving it plugged in to see if it helps. Running on low batteries can cause various problems, which is why you need to remember to charge it before it completely runs out. You should also try <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/713525\/the-usb-paradox-why-do-usb-connections-need-three-tries\/\">replugging your mouse into a different USB port and reinstalling or updating its drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, if the freezing continues to occur you should consider replacing your mouse so that you don\u2019t have to waste time waiting for it to unfreeze every few minutes.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Constant_Disconnecting\"><\/span>Constant Disconnecting<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A mouse that constantly disconnects can be annoying to deal with. You\u2019re in the middle of working on an important document or playing your favorite <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> and then, suddenly, your mouse disconnects while it\u2019s still plugged in.<\/p>\n<p>Replugging it back into your computer did the trick until it h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ens again, and again. You\u2019re far more likely to run into this problem with a wireless mouse, as they use <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/189856\/ask-htg-how-can-i-keep-my-bluetooth-mouse-connected\/\">Bluetooth or a transmitter to connect wirelessly. You\u2019ll have to check your mouse\u2019s hardware including the transmitter to see if they\u2019re damaged.
