But while Young Thug was taken into custody on Monday (May 9) \u2014 the day the Fulton County prosecutors announced the indictment \u2014 Gunna didn\u2019t surrender to authorities until Wednesday (May 11).<\/p>\n<p>According to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2022\/05\/14\/gunna-got-family-business-affairs-in-order-before-turning-himself-in-rico-case\/\"><em>TMZ,<\/em> t<\/a>here\u2019s a perfectly good explanation for the delay. Gunna had several business affairs to get in order and family members to see before he could turn himself in. Seeing his mother was especially important considering how close they are.<\/p>\n<p>Gunna also need to make sure his next video, \u201cBanking On Me,\u201d was ready and the release dates for new music were ironed out. Additionally, he needed time to confer with his legal team to figure out how they are going to fight the case.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Gunna - Banking On Me [SNL Live Performance]\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2SGhmfULgPA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Gunna is currently facing one count of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. He, along with Young Thug and 26 others, was formally indicted following a roughly one-year investigation into the Young Slime Life (YSL) crew, which prosecutors believe is a \u201ccriminal street gang.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both Young Thug and Gunna are being held at the Fulton County Jail without bond. Gunna\u2019s attorneys\u2014\u00a0Donald F. Samuel, John A. Garland and Kristen W.
