ABC has passed on the sequel <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>, which would have seen the return of Blair Underwood. He was set to reprise his role as attorney Jonathan Rollins. Corbin Bernsen was also set to return as Arnie Becker. Hari Nef, Toks Olagundoye, Ian Duff, John Harlan Kim, Juliana Harkavey, and Kacey Rohl were also set to star in the series. The original series aired on NBC for eight seasons.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-130330\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/05\/la-law-sequel-pilot-dead-abc-blair-underwood-1235023469\/\">Deadline<\/a> revealed the following about the plot of the pilot:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIn the pilot, written by Marc Guggenheim and Ubah Mohamed and directed by Anthony Hemingway, the venerable law firm of McKenzie Brackman \u2014 now named Becker Rollins \u2014 reinvents itself as a litigation firm specializing in only the most high-profile, boundary-pushing and incendiary cases.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The following was said about the series being dropped by ABC:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cLike was the case with the revival of Steven Bochco\u2019s iconic <i>NYPD Blue<\/i>, the followup to Bochco\u2019s acclaimed legal drama <i>L.A. Law<\/i> had a very high bar to clear in order to get to the air. As Deadline reported in our Pilot Buzz stories, the <i>L.A. Law<\/i> pilot got so-so reception at ABC and was never considered a strong contender for a series pickup.<\/p>\n<p>I hear, likely because of the very high expectations, the pilot felt a bit like it tried too hard but those who have seen it praised Underwood\u2019s performance.
