\n A drunken Florida man with three previous DUI convictions was arrested while driving a riding lawnmower in the middle of a highway, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Paul Burke, of Fort McCoy, was busted Wednesday on west Highway 316 in Marion County, where he was travel<\/a>ing far slower than the posted 55-mph speed limit, the Orlando Sentinel reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know you\u2019re in the road, right?\u201d a deputy asks Burke, dashcam video shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cWas I?\u201d Burke replies.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were,\u201d the deputy tells him before realizing Burke app<\/a>arently had been imbibing. \u201cHow much you have to drink tonight?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEh, a couple,\u201d Burke admits.<\/p>\n

\u201cA couple?\u201d the deputy responds. \u201cI think it\u2019s a little more than a couple.\u201d<\/p>\n

The deputy reported smelling alcohol on Burke, the Sentinel reports.<\/p>\n

Burke then tells the deputy he isn\u2019t going to lie, admitting that he is heading home on his lawnmower after leaving his residence earlier, video shows.<\/p>\n

Burke, who says he has \u201cno driver\u2019s license at all,\u201d proceeds to tell the deputy that field sobriety tests wouldn\u2019t be necessary because he had been drinking before briefly trying to perform the exercises. He then stops, saying he is unable to walk, the footage shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have had maybe a little too much to drink tonight,\u201d Burke admits before asking the deputy to let him be on his way with a citation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, can we just give me a ticket and be done with that?\u201d Burke asks, which the deputy declines.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I\u2019m going to ask you one more time if you want to do these exercises,\u201d the deputy says.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo sir, just take me to jail,\u201d Burke replies.<\/p>\n

Burke was then taken into custody at the Marion County Jail on a DUI charge, sheriff\u2019s officials said. He was no longer listed in custody as of Tuesday, jail records show.<\/p>\n

Prior to last week\u2019s arrest, Burke had been convicted of driving under the influence three times and had his license suspended or revoked seven times for previous DUIs or refusals to submit to a breath test, sheriff\u2019s officials said.<\/p>\n
