The FX <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> debuts June 16, and <em>The Old Man <\/em>trailer shows Bridges taking no prisoners as a full-on action star.<\/p>\n<p>The seven-episode drama series is based on the Thomas Perry mystery thriller of the same name. In it, Bridges plays former CIA operative Dan Chase, who\u2019s been living off the grid ever since leaving the agency decades prior. After surviving an assassination attempt, Chase must confront his past in order to secure his future.<\/p>\n<p>Chase is being hunted down by the FBI\u2019s Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Harold Harper, played by John Lithgow (<em>Perry Mason<\/em>). Alia Shawkat (<em>Search Party<\/em>) plays Harper\u2019s prot\u00e9g\u00e9, Angela Adams, and E.J. Bonilla (<em>Unforgettable<\/em>) plays CIA Special Agent Raymond Waters.<\/p>\n<p>Watch Bridges kick some major ass in the trailer for <em>The Old Man<\/em>, below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LL2lhM_kDPM\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LL2lhM_kDPM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It starts off with Bridges\u2019 Chase calling a woman, telling her it could be the last time they speak.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHey, kid, it\u2019s me. They found me,\u201d he ominously announces. \u201cI\u2019m fine, the dogs are fine. I thought I covered the tracks. You and I, we\u2019re not going to be able to talk again. Remember that I love you, that I\u2019ll always love you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He then jets off to Morocco, inviting Amy Brenneman\u2018s Zoe McDonald to come with him so she can understand \u201chow his world works.\u201d Lithgow then <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears, teasing at the decades-long conflict between their characters when he says, \u201cI know what started all this. This thing has been buried in the ground for 30 years, and I wanted it to stay there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And then, after taking out several would-be assassins, Bridges channels Liam Neeson in <em>Taken<\/em> when he says, \u201cAny more you send to me, I\u2019m sending back in bags. Any more you send to my kid, I\u2019ll sending them back in pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gbenga Akinnagbe (<em>The Deuce<\/em>), Bill Heck (<em>I Know What You Did Last Summer<\/em>), Leem Lubany (<em>Condor<\/em>), and Pej Vahdat (<em>Dynasty<\/em>) also star in the series.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Old Man <\/em>was in production when Bridges was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2020.
