\n Someone taped an anti-Semitic note to the storefront of Upper East Side Assemblywoman Rebecca Seawright\u2019s legislative office.<\/p>\n

The lurid message, which The Post is not re-printing, made sexual references and alluded to Jewish stereotypes.<\/p>\n

Seawright recently sponsored a \u201cvirtual town hall\u201d event that focused on combating anti-Semitism and featured New York State Jewish leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will never be intimidated by this criminal act. We have called for a hate crimes investigation,\u201d Seawright said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie (D-Bronx) also issued a statement slamming the hate-filled message at Seawright\u2019s office at 1485 York Ave.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must ensure the safety of the staff that work in this office and the constituents that utilize it for services,\u201d Heastie said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must call out hate in all its forms. These actions are completely unacceptable and un-American. The Assembly Majority condemns this disgraceful behavior and will continue to work to ensure New York remains inclusive and welcoming for all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faith-based leaders from all religions planned to join forces outside Seawright\u2019s office to condemn the anti-Semitic act.<\/p>\n

\u201cAssemblywoman Seawright held a meeting addressing anti-Semitism and now we\u2019re facing it,\u201d Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, executive vice president of the New York Board of Rabbis,\u00a0 told The Post.<\/p>\n

He said he will join Seawright to condemn the bigotry.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not going to be scared. We\u2019re not going to be silent,\u201d Potasnik said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnti-Semitism is also anti-Christian, anti-Islam or anti any religion.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s just latest challenge for Seawright, a three-term incumbent who was knocked off the Democratic and Working Families Party lines over ballot paperwork snafus.<\/p>\n

She has filed independent petitions to run on the independent \u201cRise and Unite\u201d ballot line.<\/p>\n

If she gains ballot status, Seawright would face off against Republican Louis Puliafito and possibly Democratic activist Patrick Bobilin, who is seeking to run under the independent \u201cBlue Wave\u201d banner.<\/p>\n

A source familiar with the area said the knucklehead who affixed the note on Seawright\u2019s first-floor office window could be in trouble. The area is covered by surveillance cameras.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
