who work remotely risk getting axed over their in-person colleagues as tiny startups and Big Tech firms alike get squeezed by rising interest rates and plummeting stock prices, hiring experts tell The Post.  \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Techies looking to hold onto their jobs should therefore consider ditching their pajamas and getting back into the office if they want to hold onto their jobs, the experts say.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cManagers believe employees who work remote are lower performers than those that come to the office,\u201d Brian Kropp, chief of human resources research at the consulting firm Gartner, told The Post. \u201cThey will on average be more likely to lay off those who are working remote than those who are coming into the office.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSimply put: it\u2019s out of sight, out of mind,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> comes as tech workers are getting jittery about their jobs. <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> and Instagram parent company Meta implemented a hiring freeze earlier in May, while smaller firms including Netflix, Peloton, Robinhood, Carvana and Gopuff have all laid off employees in recent months.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>On Blind, an anonymous corporate message board with verified members, tech workers have been fretting about layoffs and the potential end of remote work in recent weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWill recession \/ layoffs bring everyone back to office?\u201d one employee of software firm Carta wrote in late April.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes it will, no doubt,\u201d a Google employee responded.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan\u2019t go into an office if you\u2019re laid off,\u201d another Google employee quipped.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a separate thread, an <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le employee wrote that tech companies missing revenue targets and making layoffs are a \u201cdream come true for [the return to office] lobby.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Michael Solomon, who manages software engineers and tech executives through his talent firm 10x Management, told The Post that remote work is a \u201cgreat tie breaker\u201d for bosses deciding which who\u2019s in the office and is near me all the time,\u201d Solomon said.<\/p>\n<p>But Solomon added that the best tech employees will be safe regardless of whether they schlep into the office.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf all things are equal, the person in the office might have an advantage,\u201d Solomon said. \u201cBut if you\u2019re a top performer, I don\u2019t think it makes a bit
