Morty to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, audiences love a neighboring reality.<\/p>\n<p>Signs of an\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/physicist-reality-graphene-study\">alternate reality<\/a>\u00a0outside of fiction have been found by scientists and expanded upon in a published journal.<\/p>\n<p>Physicists at the University of Maryland learned that electrical charge behaves oddly when two graphene layers are stacked \u2013 the results \u201clooked like little universes\u201d and new spurts of electricity were detected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn a sense, it\u2019s almost suspicious that it works so well by naturally \u2018predicting\u2019 fundamental features of our universe,\u201d\u00a0one of the co-authors of the study said.<\/p>\n<p>The scientists think that because the electrons can interact between two graphene layers, each just an atom-thick, they could exhibit other interactions from across space time.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/journals.aps.org\/prresearch\/abstract\/10.1103\/PhysRevResearch.4.L022027\">journal<\/a>\u00a0on the findings included theoretical physics that explain \u201cthe electron is allowed to tunnel between two different \u2018universes\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The research builds upon Moir\u00e9 patterns \u2013 the way similarly patterned objects interact when imperfectly stacked.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/other-unvierses-02.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Skeptics point to the unobservable nature of a second reality and the reliance on speculative physics to create the theory.\" class=\"wp-image-22307900\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/other-unvierses-02.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/other-unvierses-02.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/other-unvierses-02.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Skeptics point to the unobservable nature of a second reality and the reliance on speculative physics to create the theory.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>These patterns are visible nature and architecture \u2013 looking at and through mesh netting is an example.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers stopped short of guaranteeing their findings are a peek into an alternate reality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe haven\u2019t explored all the effects \u2014 that\u2019s a hard thing to do,\u201d one contributor\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/jqi.umd.edu\/news\/bilayer-graphene-inspires-two-universe-cosmological-model\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe theory is falsifiable experimentally,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n<p>Additional work in the future will build on their theory and findings.<\/p>\n<p>While the University of Maryland researchers have piqued curiosity with their alternate reality-friendly findings, there is still a long way to go before the theory is confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Skeptics point to the unobservable nature of a second reality and the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.edge.org\/response-detail\/25405\">reliance on speculative physics<\/a>\u00a0to power the theory.<\/p>\n<p><em>This story originally <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp;
