Does anyone have that experience?\u201d Musk wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The first option showed two hysterically laughing emoji faces while the second showed a robot next to the words \u201cWho me?!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When another Twitter user commented that the SEC should investigate whether Twitter\u2019s claims are true, Musk responded: \u201cHello @SECGov, anyone home?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on Tuesday, Twitter said it would not allow Musk to wriggle free from his $44 billion offer for the social media platform despite the multibillionaire\u2019s\u00a0threats to walk away\u00a0if the company doesn\u2019t prove it is\u00a0sufficiently cracking down on spam\u00a0and bot accounts.<\/p>\n<p>The San Francisco-based company filed a\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/0001418091\/000119312522152250\/d283119dprem14a.htm#toc283119_34\">statement with the SEC<\/a>\u00a0on Tuesday morning \u2014 hours after Musk tweeted that he may not proceed with the deal.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/twitter-1-1.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Musk said his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter may be off due to the prevalence of spam and bot accounts.\" class=\"wp-image-22301926\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/twitter-1-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/twitter-1-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/twitter-1-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Musk said his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter may be off due to the prevalence of spam and bot accounts.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">REUTERS<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cTwitter is committed to completing the transaction on the agreed price,\u201d the company said in its SEC filing.<\/p>\n<p>The Tesla and SpaceX boss agreed to pay $54.20 per share for the site on April 25 but has seen shares plunge by 30 percent, closing at $37.15 on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Musk faces a $1 billion breakup fee, plus the risk of hefty legal expenses from a breach-of-contract lawsuit, if he scraps the deal.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter has found itself on the defensive after Musk publicly trashed its\u00a0policies on spam\u00a0and bot accounts last week.<\/p>\n<p>Parag Agrawal, the company CEO, took to Twitter on Monday in an effort to refute Musk\u2019s claim that the social media site has allowed spam and bot accounts to run amok.<\/p>\n<p>Spam \u201charms the experience for real people on Twitter,\u201d he wrote, and the company is \u201cstrongly incentivized to detect and remove as much spam as we possibly can, every single day.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>\u201cAnyone who suggests otherwise is just wrong,\u201d Agrawal tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared to be unimpressed, tweeting a poop emoji in response. He then commented: \u201cSo how do advertisers know what they\u2019re getting for their money?
