Unlike their predecessors, Gen Z, or those born after 1997, estimated they could achieve \u201crich status,\u201d or enjoying a life of luxury, with $394,000. Their price tags came in significantly lower than Baby Boomers, who opted for just over a million ($1,019,549). The amassing debt<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nerdwallet.com\/article\/loans\/student-loans\/student-loan-debt\"> totals $1.75 trillion nationwide<\/a> across generations.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>The Ruby Home survey found that respondents believed a rich person\u2019s home costs $1.9 million, despite the increasing number of homes for Americans cashing in at $1 million or more. <\/p>\n<p>Yet, the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>n income for Americans was only <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/library\/publications\/2021\/demo\/p60-273.html\">$67,521<\/a> in 2020, making it difficult to achieve homeownership. A survey published earlier this year by Porch.com showed that 61% of renters nationwide can\u2019t afford to buy a home in the same city they\u2019re renting in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith housing costs predicted to surge in 2022 alongside rising interest rates, the market may be tighter than we currently perceive \u2013 even for those who score in the higher regional percentiles for net worth,\u201d read the survey.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
