For what it\u2019s worth, after being pressed by Vasquez, Heard claimed she uses the terms \u201cpledge\u201d and \u201cdonate\u201d interchangeably, but it\u2019s also worth noting those words are NOT synonymous. (Also, isn\u2019t Amber supposed to be really smart and an avid reader? Wouldn\u2019t she know they\u2019re not synonymous? Why not just be upfront and say she hadn\u2019t done so yet due to financial difficulty but still promised to? Why risk it under oath? Was this just bad legal advice on her team\u2019s part?)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Johnny Said The Most DISGUSTING Thing Right After Marrying Amber<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since Amber has since confirmed on record that she hasn\u2019t, in fact, paid the full donation after all, she <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>arently could potentially face perjury charges in the UK. <strong>Sean Caulfield<\/strong> at law firm <strong>Hodge, Jones and Allen<\/strong> said that could very well happen, saying via <em><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Game<\/a>Rant<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhile it may not be a central issue to the case [the donations], perjury is the single biggest threat and cuts to the core of our justice system. So the police may be invited to investigate to show that any member of the public who lies to the court can be prosecuted for perjury.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Other legal experts agree. While speaking with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a>week<\/em>, <strong>Halim Dhanidina<\/strong>, a lawyer and former California state judge, said that painting Amber as an \u201cunreliable witness\u201d is essential for Depp to win the trial, explaining:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cEvery opportunity the Depp team has to expose Ms. Heard as an unreliable witness should be seized. Especially where it is on a subject that is likely to make her less likable to the jury. It also may support their theory that Ms. Heard has less than altruistic motives in this case.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Attorney <strong>Jeff Lewis<\/strong> shared a similar sentiment, telling the outlet:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIn every case involving sexual or domestic violence, a \u2018he\/said she\/said\u2019 case, credibility is king. The donation issue is irrelevant except it is highly relevant to Heard\u2019s credibility. Depp\u2019s legal team\u2019s theory of the case is that Heard\u2019s story about the violence has \u2018evolved\u2019 over the years. How do they prove that Heard is liar? Not only by disproving that the violence occurred but also proving Heard lied.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Heard wouldn\u2019t face any criminal charges until this defamation lawsuit is over, but this is definitely something we\u2019ll be keeping our eyes on.
