This works for multiple colors and we\u2019ll show you how to implement it in your spreadsheets.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"justthesteps\">\n<li>With your spreadsheet open, in the ribbon click Data &gt; Sort.<\/li>\n<li>In the \u201cSort By\u201d dropdown menu select the column you want the data sorted by.<\/li>\n<li>From the \u201cSort On\u201d list, select \u201cCell Color,\u201d then choose a color and location for sorting.<\/li>\n<li>Add as many levels as needed, then click \u201cOK.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>With the feature, you can place the cells containing a specific color at the top or the bottom of the list. If your dataset has headers, then in this window\u2019s top-right corner, enable the \u201cMy Data Has Headers\u201d option.<\/p>\n<p>Click the \u201cSort By\u201d drop-down menu and select the column whose data you want to sort. From the \u201cSort On\u201d drop-down menu, if you want to sort your cells by their background color, choose \u201cCell Color.\u201d To sort cells by their font color, select \u201cFont Color.\u201d We\u2019ll go with the former option.<\/p>\n<p>Next, click the \u201cOrder\u201d drop-down menu and choose the color you want to keep at the top or at the bottom. Next to this drop-down, click another drop-down and select where you want to place the cells containing the selected color.
