Lately, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/teslamotors\/comments\/usfomi\/heres_why_tesla_says_your_dashcam_and_sentry_mode\/\">several reports<\/a> have emerged that users are experiencing problems with their cameras, and Tesla is aware of the problem and working on a fix.<\/p>\n<p>While Tesla\u2019s sentry mode and dash cams are no strangers to problems, this latest issue is a little bigger than most. Typically, many owners that get dash cam errors unplug the USB drive, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/teslamotors\/comments\/usfomi\/comment\/i93encq\/?utm_source=reddit&amp;utm_medium=web2x&amp;context=3\">then plug it back in<\/a>, which often solves the problem. Well, temporarily, at least.<\/p>\n<p>However, now it looks like this is becoming a more widespread issue. Multiple users on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reddit<\/a> have reported an X over the camera icon on the infotainment display. One user reached out to Tesla\u2019s support team, and this is part of the response he received.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe flash drive is unmounting, causing the dash camera to go to a paused state, which triggers sentry to stop recording as soon as it starts.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While some reports online believe this problem started with the recent\u00a02022.12.3.2 software update from Tesla, we\u2019re seeing other owners mentioning it\u2019s not a new situation. Users have dealt with this off and on for months, but now that Tesla is aware of it, a fix should be coming soon.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla said this is nothing more than a firmware issue and that once the fix is available, it\u2019ll be sent out as a software update. However, Tesla gave no other details or a potential release date for the OTA release.
