He noted that the rumors caused them to perform the song together a mere three times. The two of them were on tour together in 2003 for the Rock The Mic Tour, but Paul noted that strange things started h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening when he would hit the stage with Bey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrange things started to happen at the performances, which was weird,\u201d he said. \u201cWe went to L.A. and I did my show and then she was performing, and they told me to stick around because we\u2019ll do \u2018Baby Boy.\u2019 We do it and I run out there and the crowd goes wild, but after a while it seems like I lost their energy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cAnd it\u2019s weird because I was going\u00a0<i>wild\u00a0<\/i>out there. When the song finished, I came backstage and my own band was all pissed off, like \u2018Man, that\u2019s fucked up. You heard yourself? We couldn\u2019t hear you in the crowd. Your mic was off.\u2019 I was like, \u2018How the fuck did that happen?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"p-message_pane_message__message_label c-message_kit__labels c-message_kit__labels--light\">\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__gutter\">\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__gutter__right\" role=\"presentation\" data-qa=\"message_content\">\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__blocks c-message_kit__blocks--rich_text\">\n<div class=\"c-message__message_blocks c-message__message_blocks--rich_text\" data-qa=\"message-text\">\n<div class=\"p-block_kit_renderer\" data-qa=\"block-kit-renderer\">\n<div class=\"p-block_kit_renderer__block_wrapper p-block_kit_renderer__block_wrapper--first\">\n<div class=\"p-rich_text_block\" dir=\"auto\">\n<div class=\"p-rich_text_section\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>When asked if Paul thought his performance had been sabotaged as a result of the rumors, he said at the time he hadn\u2019t thought anything of it until his audio began glitching during a high-stakes MTV performance of the track in Scotland. Afterward, Bey pulled him backstage and demanded he answer for the ongoing rumors.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018So, we go back and talk and she\u2019s like \u2018What\u2019s all these rumors about?\u2019 and I\u2019m like \u2018Yo, I\u2019m not saying shit,\u2019 and she\u2019s like \u2018These rumors fuck with my career. I just want you to know that.\u2019 I was like \u2018They don\u2019t fuck with mine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Needlesss to say, Beyonc\u00e9 apparently didn\u2019t believe him. Later that year during a VMA\u2019s performance of the track Paul was told he wasn\u2019t allowed to perform it alongside Bey anymore. He said he stormed off and never performed the track again. At the end of the day, the Jamaican singer still has no idea why his audio had been tampered with, or how the rumors started.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s weird,\u201d he said. \u201cMaybe it had something to do with her management at the time, which we found out later has been a tumultuous relationship for the both of them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked once and for all if he hooked up with Beyonc\u00e9, Sean Paul laughed. \u201cNah! I wish I did!
