But the stunt turned into a building-wide act of vandalism, school officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The extent of the damage was significant enough that the high school canceled its last classes on Thursday and Friday as the campus was cleaned, cutting the year short for graduating seniors, Fox 4 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fox4news.com\/news\/frisco-memorial-high-school-vandalism-senior-prank-cancels-classes-causes-thousands-of-dollars-in-damage\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>School officials said they plan to make the students responsible for the mess pay for it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDamage is estimated in the thousands of dollars and includes paint on the walls, destruction of furniture, discharged fire extinguishers throughout campus and more,\u201d school administrators said in a letter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery surface on the 300,000 sq. ft. campus must be cleaned, including the walls, ceilings and floors. No one was injured, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The school is working with the police department to identify those involved. And now, I don\u2019t get to see those teachers that were a big part of my life,\u201d Katelynn said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s just it\u2019s not funny. It\u2019s not cool.
