They told me that it was skin dividing my normal vagina apart from a second one that was undetectable as it was so tiny in size.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe doctor said I was a medical marvel and incredibly rare, but promising to fix me up with reconstructive surgery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The mom finally had an answer as to why tampons had failed her in the past, and was diagnosed with Klippel-Feil Syndrome (KFS) \u2013 a congenital bone condition in which at least two cervical vertebrae remain fused and immobile.<\/p>\n<p>The condition can be a result of a twin not forming properly in the womb and the surviving baby inheriting two sets of reproductive organs.<\/p>\n<p>Knowing her family has a history of twins, Vic believes that is likely the reason for her condition.<\/p>\n<p>She has since also developed dystonia, a chronic condition in which muscles contract involuntarily, causing repetitive or twisting movements \u2013 which is related to KFS.<\/p>\n<p>Vic waited six months for reconstructive surgery on her vagina \u2013 during which time she experienced severe pain.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"805\" height=\"802\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/mom1-1.jpg?w=805\" alt=\"Vic Au-Yeung and her three children.\" class=\"wp-image-22337915\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/mom1-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 805w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/mom1-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=403 402w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px\"\/><figcaption>Vic Au-Yeung grew depressed when doctors insisted she couldn\u2019t have children.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">@our_home_in_kingstone \/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She said: \u201cThose months were incredibly painful due to the six inches of skin just hanging down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce I had the operation. I was unfortunate to get an infection and the pain was horrific.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt felt like down there was on fire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She recovered with antibiotics and two-and-a-half years later before she conceived again \u2013 having been trying for the past two years.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/mom4.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Vic Au-Yeung and her husband.\" class=\"wp-image-22337921\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/mom4.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/mom4.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/mom4.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Vic Au-Yeung is relieved after no longer suffering from agonizing periods in \u201cthe last 11 years.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">@our_home_in_kingstone \/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She welcomed Freddie, now 21, in 2001 before falling pregnant again in 2006 \u2013 this time whilst on the pill, though this is not believed to be due to her condition.<\/p>\n<p>Vic said: \u201cMy daughter was a very h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y \u2018accident\u2019 and I was over the moon to be blessed with a third child.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the birth of daughter Jaz in 2006, she once again experienced complications.<\/p>\n<p>She said: \u201cI had five years of almost non-stop heavy bleeding and agonizing pain in my womb.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was diagnosed with stage four endometriosis and offered a hysterectomy \u2013 after having two lots of keyhole laparoscopic surgeries which weren\u2019t effective.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>\u201cWhen they took out my womb, it was covered in adhesions which explained the pain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vic struggled with the recovery process and found it emotionally difficult \u2013 having hoped to have a fourth child.<\/p>\n<p>But once she had recovered, she found her pain had completely gone.<\/p>\n<p>She said: \u201cI was 31 at the time and had suffered with heavy bleeding and chronic pain for just under 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot having periods for the last 11 years has been incredible.
