In a video that beggars belief, 44 central bankers and financial delegates from emerging markets around the world shout \u201cBitcoin!\u201d while posing for a photo in El Zonte, El Salvador:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">And all the Central Bankers screamed\u2026. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/MxdOrYD3lc\">pic.twitter.com\/MxdOrYD3lc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bitcoin Beach (@Bitcoinbeach) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Bitcoinbeach\/status\/1527463438024208387?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 20, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nIt seems that by day three of El Salvador\u2019s financial inclusion conference, the central bankers are warming to Satoshi Nakamoto\u2019s innovation, enjoying a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> to Bitcoin (BTC) Beach.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>El Zonte or &#8220;Bitcoin Beach&#8221; is the home of Bitcoin in El Salvador, an iconic destination for Bitcoin enthusiasts. It\u00a0birthed the movement which led to El Salvador proclaiming Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021. Nicolas Burtey, co-founder of Galoy Money \u2014 the company that created the Bitcoin Beach wallet, told Cointelegraph that the bankers visited El Zonte to learn from the Bitcoin Beach team on Thursday, May 19.<\/p>\n<p>Burtey told Cointelegraph that the sentiment towards Bitcoin was &#8220;super good,&#8221; and that &#8220;nothing beats the experience of using lightning to discover the potential of Bitcoin.&#8221; In a nod to Bitcoin adoption around the world, Burtey shared:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Multiple central bankers said I should meet their team in their country.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The central bankers from countries including Paraguay, Ghana and Egypt descended onto the town to spend satoshis and interact with locals, including some local celebrities. Indeed, the bankers met with Mama Rosa, one of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gladstein\/status\/1434636037444100099\">first<\/a> vendors to accept Bitcoin in El Zonte back in 2019 to buy pupusas, a Salvadoran flatbread snack:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The world famous Mama Rosa and her son and \u2066<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HopeHousesv?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@HopeHousesv<\/a>\u2069 founder \u2066<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jorgebitcoinES?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@jorgebitcoinES<\/a>\u2069 helping central bankers use <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> to buy the best pupusas in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ElSalvador?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#ElSalvador<\/a> <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Kcq8dH2oxt\">pic.twitter.com\/Kcq8dH2oxt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bitcoin Beach (@Bitcoinbeach) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Bitcoinbeach\/status\/1527410448869380097?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 19, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>One Bitcoiner <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TboneHODL\/status\/1527446939251400704\">shared<\/a> that they helped \u201ca central banker buy a coconut from an unbanked local in Bitcoin Beach, El Zonte using Bitcoin.\u201d The President, Nayib Bukele, also shared a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of photos of the bankers with their smartphones out, showing El Chivo wallets (El Salvador\u2019s BTC payment infrastructure) and lightning invoices.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-05\/59f6796d-8ee5-4ce3-96ac-301f133b623d.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\">Bitcoin Lightning Network inaction. The Paraguayan central bank released an official statement on May 16, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bcp.gov.py\/comunicado-sobre-participacion-del-bcp-en-foro-internacional-n1716\">declaring<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe meeting\u2019s focus has no relation to cryptocurrencies or similar.
