He was high-handed with and verbally abusive to some of his co-stars while a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> regular, and, when he returned to host the show in 1978 to promote his starring role in &#8220;Foul Play,&#8221; <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/decider.com\/2021\/06\/18\/bill-murray-chevy-chase-fight-snl-remembered\/\">he got into a backstage fistfight<\/a> with new &#8220;SNL&#8221; golden boy Bill Murray.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Chase was also in the throes of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/archives\/la-xpm-1986-10-11-mn-2824-story.html\">an addiction to painkillers<\/a> (which he began taking to quell the aches brought on by his penchant for pratfalls).
