The built-in Android hotspot method is easy and supported by many devices and carriers.<\/p>\n<p>However, if your carrier <em>doesn\u2019t<\/em> allow you to tether other devices to your phone, the standard Android hotspot method might not be available. Your carrier might also place restrictions on data usage for devices that connect via hotspot.<\/p>\n<p>Apps like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.pdanet\">PdaNet+<\/a>\u00a0offer a work-around, but you might find you need a rooted phone to bypass tethering restrictions\u00a0on your Android phone completely.
