Not being able to stream could be a big loss of income. It might also leave your viewers wondering what h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened. If you\u2019re\u00a0fortunate to have a strong fanbase, you can use other <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> networks to let your followers know about the situation and what you plan on doing next.<\/p>\n<p>One of the major downsides of getting banned is that Twitch doesn\u2019t have to disclose the reason.\u00a0They can simply state that\u00a0you violated their terms of service, and then leave it at that. This can be incredibly frustrating since you might not know what you did wrong. You can apply for a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/safety.twitch.tv\/s\/article\/appeals?language=en_US\">ban appeal<\/a>, but there\u2019s no guarantee that it will be successful.<\/p>\n<p>Twitch can issue a temporary ban, which usually lasts between one and 30 days. They may also issue a permanent ban, which means you\u2019ll never be allowed to stream on the platform again.\u00a0They can disable your account,\u00a0preventing you from accessing most of the platform\u2019s features, including watching other streamers, messaging in the chat, and showing yourself on someone else\u2019s live stream.<\/p>\n<p>The last one is important to remember because you could potentially get somebody else banned\u00a0for appearing on their stream.\u00a0As harsh as it sounds, you\u2019re completely banished everywhere on Twitch until you\u2019re no longer banned.\u00a0Bans are also IP-based, so\u00a0there\u2019s no point in making a new account.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Inappropriate_Content\"><\/span>Inappropriate Content<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One of the most common reasons streamers get banned on Twitch is for broadcasting inappropriate content. This includes nudity, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/safety.twitch.tv\/s\/article\/Nudity-Sexual-Content?language=en_US\">sexual acts<\/a>, violence, weapons, and illegal substances and acts. Not only can you not\u00a0broadcast these things, but you also can\u2019t promote them in any way.<\/p>\n<p>This means that you can\u2019t talk about illegal drugs, even if you\u2019re not using them, because it can be seen as promoting them. Discussing or showcasing acts of violence and threats is also prohibited, and this includes\u00a0physical and non-physical violence. You cannot harass, bully, or deliver any form of hate speech.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, if you\u2019re doing or showcasing something that\u2019s obviously offensive, disturbing, or inappropriate, you\u2019re likely going to get banned. To play it safe, treat your audience as if they were kids. They\u2019ll give you a maximum of three strikes before they permanently ban you from the platform. This includes playing unlicensed music, using someone else\u2019s artwork, or broadcasting a movie or TV show without the proper permission.<\/p>\n<p>Even though you\u2019re not allowed to play unlicensed content or music, you likely won\u2019t get banned for it right away. Twitch may issue your first strike and then mute copyrighted audio or take down your video on demand (VOD), which is a recording of your live stream. If they see that you\u2019re repeatedly infringing on someone else\u2019s copyright, they\u2019ll issue a second and then third strike.<\/p>\n<p>Your only way around this is to play original music or anything that\u2019s licensed to you. You can also use <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/broadcast\/soundtrack\">Soundtrack by Twitch<\/a>, which is a curated music library that you can use while streaming. Regarding content, don\u2019t show anything that you don\u2019t own or have the right to broadcast.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Illegal_Activity\"><\/span>Illegal Activity<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You may also get banned on Twitch if you\u2019re engaging in any illegal activity, such as hacking, cheating in a video <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>, or distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. This also includes promoting or linking to websites that engage in these activities.<\/p>\n<p>Even though it may seem fun to download cheat software and stream yourself beating other players with it, that behavior is not permissible. And of course, the more obvious illegal activities, such as using illicit drugs will immediately get you the ban hammer.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Selling_Twitch_Features\"><\/span>Selling Twitch Features<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Twitch has a wide variety of features you can use to engage with your viewers. However, you\u2019re not allowed to sell any of them. This includes things like selling your chat moderation services. Many people love moderating chat because it gives them a higher status and more\u00a0privileges in the community. So, if you\u2019re trying to profit off of that, you\u2019ll get banned.<\/p>\n<p>Avoid shady tactics such as paying or accepting money to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/help.twitch.tv\/s\/article\/how-to-use-raids?language=en_US\">raid other channels<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/help.twitch.tv\/s\/article\/how-to-use-host-mode?language=en_US\">host someone<\/a>, or <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/help.twitch.tv\/s\/article\/gift-subscriptions?language=en_US\">gift subscriptions<\/a>. Interactions and exchanges like these are supposed to happen naturally. You might get away with it for a while, but it only takes one mistake for you to get banned. You\u2019re also relying on the other party to not get caught, which is out of your control.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Saying_Bannable_Words\"><\/span>Saying Bannable Words<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Believe it or not, saying certain words on Twitch can also get you banned from the platform. This is outside of the obvious racial and homophobic slurs, hate speech, and other profanity. You are allowed to curse, but you can\u2019t use words that are deemed <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/howtotwitch.com\/words-you-cant-say-on-twitch\/\">too offensive<\/a>\u00a0because of their negative connotations.<\/p>\n<p>One of these outside words you might not be familiar with is \u201csimp.\u201d It\u2019s often used to describe someone who gives all of their attention and care to another person who usually doesn\u2019t\u00a0reciprocate. It\u2019s considered a derogatory term in the Twitch community, so you can\u2019t say or type it.<\/p>\n<p>It may sound silly if you\u2019re new to the platform, but it\u2019s important to be aware of the words you can\u2019t use. The community is constantly changing, and new words are added to the list all the time. To be safe, study the words you\u2019re not allowed to say and avoid any words that could be considered overly offensive.
