Once there\u2019d be warnings before you go onstage. Like, watch, a bachelorette party\u2019s out there. Or, that dude on the left is wasted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn modern times everything\u2019s out of control. Look, if you don\u2019t like a sarcastic comedian \u2014 don\u2019t go see him. It\u2019s not all about\u00a0<em>you<\/em>! The comedian doesn\u2019t know about your childhood trauma, recent fight with your wife or what you\u2019re going through right now. We\u2019re not combatants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re just trying to make you laugh. People need to laugh. It\u2019s a release. A way to get rid of tension. Comedy\u2019s a weapon but no more do I bother with funny lines to stop a heckler. Now I just shut them down. Like, \u2018How much attention you need? Do I go to your job and start screaming where you\u2019re working?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the old days, insult comedians like Don Rickles picking on you was a badge of honor. Not anymore.
