But it was pulled off the market following a storm that caused some water damage. <\/p>\n<p>While the furniture was being redone, brokers and buyers kept circling \u2060\u2014 with multiple offers. <\/p>\n<p>The buyer \u2060\u2014\u00a0a local New Yorker in love with the house and the \u2018hood, we hear \u2060\u2014 is in contract for more than $7.1 million, sources say. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a record for the neighborhood and yet another example of the boom Harlem is having.  <\/p>\n<p>Harris bought the five-bedroom, 20-foot-wide home in 2013 for close to $3.6 million, as Gimme reported Built in 1908,\u00a0its original details \u2060\u2014 like moldings, millwork, dark wood, a restored wood staircase and high ceilings \u2060\u2014 remain intact even after updates by New York architect Jeffrey Povero and LA designer Trace Lehnhoff. <\/p>\n<p>Quirky new details include a top-floor office hidden behind a trick door that opens when you press the eye of a magician on a vintage poster. And like Jimmy Fallon\u2019s Gramercy Park penthouse, this home comes with a vintage bar.
