channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/209705257\/delayed\" class=\"positive\">+0.91%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       the global benchmark, rose $1.21, or 1.1%, to $114.77 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n      June gasoline<br \/>\n        RBM22,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210287594\/delayed\" class=\"positive\">+1.74%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       rose 1.7% to $3.753 a gallon, while June heating oil<br \/>\n        HOM22,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210064093\/delayed\" class=\"positive\">+1.70%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       was up 1.9% at $3.855 a gallon.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n      June natural-gas futures<br \/>\n $8.922 per million British thermal units.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Market_drivers\"><\/span>Market drivers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p> The American Petroleum Institute late Tuesday said U.S. crude inventories rose 567,000 barrels last week, according to market sources. Gasoline supplies fell 4.2 million barrels, while supplies of distillates were down 949,000 barrels.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Official storage data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration is due Wednesday morning. Analysts surveyed by S&amp;P Global Commodity Insights look for crude to show a rise of 100,000 barrels, while gasoline supplies are seen down 500,000 barrels and distillates up 600,000 barrels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe tightening in the U.S. gasoline market will raise concerns over supply as we move into driving season. Tightness in the U.S. is pulling in gasoline from elsewhere, including Europe, which is also looking increasingly tight,\u201d said Warren Patterson, head of commodities strategy at ING, in a note.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on Tuesday, speaking to reporters in Louisiana, was asked if the Biden administration was weighing restrictions on petroleum exports to put a lid on gasoline and diesel prices. \u201cI can confirm the president is not taking any tools off the table,\u201d Granholm said, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/commodities\/biden-administration-has-not-ruled-out-curbs-exports-ease-fuel-prices-granholm-2022-05-24\/?taid=628d242e9c851e00019e0745&amp;utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&amp;utm_medium=trueAnthem&amp;utm_source=twitter\" class=\"icon none\">according to Reuters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUp until now the U.S. administration has been reluctant to go down this route and instead has focused on releases from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve,\u201d Patterson said.
