With everything I know, I wouldn\u2019t worry much,\u201d Bourla said during an interview with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/05\/25\/pfizer-wouldnt-worry-about-monkeypox-cuts-drug-costs-for-low-income.html\">CNBC<\/a> at the\u00a0World Economic Forum\u00a0in Davos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat doesn\u2019t mean that we should relax,\u201d he added. \u201cI think we should monitor where the situation goes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/05\/25\/cnbc-transcript-pfizer-chairman-ceo-albert-bourla-speaks-with-cnbcs-andrew-ross-sorkin-on-squawk-box-today.html\">Bourla added<\/a> that monkeypox \u201cclearly doesn\u2019t transmit as much as other viruses including COVID\u201d and that there were \u201csolutions\u201d available if caseloads became more widespread.<\/p>\n<p>The Massachusetts Department of Public Health confirmed Tuesday that an adult man had contracted the disease, cases of which are rare outside of central and West Africa.
