\n George Floyd will be laid to rest in Texas on Tuesday \u2014 two weeks after his police-involved death sparked worldwide protests against racial injustices and police brutality.<\/p>\n

A celebration of life service for Floyd, 46, will take place at The Fountain of Praise Church in Houston, Floyd\u2019s hometown, at 11 a.m. CDT.<\/p>\n

The event will be live-streamed on YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Houston Police Department will escort Floyd\u2019s casket for burial at the Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland, where he\u2019ll be entombed next to his mother, according to the Houston Chronicle.<\/p>\n

The funeral Tuesday caps a week of memorial services for Floyd in Houston, North Carolina and Minneapolis \u2014 where he died after a white Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes on May 25.<\/p>\n

On Monday, thousands gathered at The Fountain of Praise Church to pay their final respects on the same day the officer, Derek Chauvin, was ordered held on $1.25 million bail.<\/p>\n

Chauvin, 44, is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in Floyd\u2019s death. The three other officers involved in the incident are charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter.<\/p>\n
